Civil Aviation Corporate Trade press release

CAE today announced at the Regional Airline Association Annual Convention (RAA 2015), that in response to customer demand, it is relocating its training capacity for Bombardier CRJ200* regional jets from its training centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Phoenix, USA and training capacity for Bombardier Q400* turboprops from Montreal to Toronto, Canada.

“CAE is proud to continue to serve Bombardier operators with high-quality training solutions as we have for over 20 years,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE’s Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions. “We are pleased to make our training for CRJ* and Q400 aircraft more accessible to operators in North America where demand continues to grow.”

The CRJ200 aircraft full-flight simulator (FFS) will be qualified to the highest fidelity standards (Level D) by the FAA and will be ready for training in Phoenix this summer. CAE already offers training for CRJ200, CRJ700* and CRJ900* aircraft in Phoenix. CAE is Bombardier’s Authorized Training Provider for all CRJ aircraft flight training. CAE operates 11 CRJ aircraft full-flight simulators (FFSs) in six cities of its global training network: Charlotte, Minneapolis and Phoenix, in the U.S; Copenhagen, Denmark; Madrid, Spain; and Toronto, Canada.

The Q400 aircraft FFS will be qualified to Level D standards and will be ready for training in the fall of 2015 in CAE’s Toronto training centre. The centre offers training on six CAE-owned and operated full-flight simulators, including a Bombardier Dash 8*/Q-Series* 100/300, a Bombardier Q400, a Bombardier CRJ200/700/900 with a Next Generation avionics system, a Dornier 328 turboprop, and a Boeing B737-800 NG.
