Founded in 2004, Volaris is a Mexican low-cost carrier with its hubs in Guadalajara, Mexico City and Tijuana. The airline commenced operations in 2005 and it has gone onto become the country's largest domestic airline by passenger numbers with over 21% of domestic traffic. The airline serves over 60 domestic and international destinations within the Americas. 

The airline operates exclusively A320 family aircraft. With over 70 active aircraft and another 100+ aircraft on order, the future is bright for Volaris.

Mexico is third largest country in Latin America, and with a population of 126 million, the 10th most populated country in the world.   More than half of its population live in the centre of the country, with large areas of the arid north and the tropical south being relatively unsettled.

With the Tropic of Cancer divided the country into two climate zones – temperate and tropical – Mexico has one of the world’s most diverse ecosystems.
