Description

The Ascension Academy with Air Transat is a direct pathway to an international Canadian airline.

This programme is designed for people with little or no flight experience. Applicants without any previous flight experience are encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates are provided with a Conditional Letter of Employment by Air Transat before commencing their training.

The training programme takes place at CAE Phoenix Aviation Academy, before returning to Montreal, Canada, to complete an A321 type rating.

Upon successful completion of the training programme and subject to certain conditions, the graduates of the Ascension Academy will join Air Transat in the position of Second-in-Command.

  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Minimum age: 18 years old at the start of training
  • Minimum education requirement: completion of High School diploma
  • Minimum language requirements: English - ICAO level 4 equivalent / French proficiency is preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a Category 1 Medical Certificate issued by Transport Canada
  • Must be able to pass a medical exam by Air Transat

Financing is available to cadets accepted into the Air Transat Ascension Academy programme through CIBC and Scotiabank. Financing up to CAD 200,000 is available, subject to the terms and conditions of the financial institutions.
