Part 141 approved Course (includes all FAA flight checks)

• 274 hours FAA Ground School (PPL, IR, CPL/ME)
• 148 hours Single Engine aircraft trainer (G1000 cockpit)
• 32 hours Multi-Engine aircraft trainer (G1000 cockpit)
• 33.2 hours Flight Training Device

This course is up to 56 weeks in duration

1. Complete your application on the American Airlines Portal by selecting “Apply Now” on this page
2. Applicants to complete designated assessments within the American Airline’s portal
3. Selected candidates will be invited web based interview with American Airline’s Pilot recruiting department

• Be legally eligible to work in the United States
• Be 18 years of age to start training
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Be able to obtain an FAA First Class Medical
• Be able to obtain a valid passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Previous flying experience is not required

• Phoenix has more than 350 flying days per year
• Get familiar with complex Class B, D and E airspace in Phoenix
