CAE today announced CAE USA is a recipient of the 2019 James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award, presented by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) in the United States. DCSA identifies cleared facilities that exhibit security excellence by establishing and maintaining a security program that ensures the protection of classified information, materials, and programs far exceeding the National Industrial Security Program requirements.
CAE USA was one of only fifty-one facilities to receive the recognition out of approximately 13,000 cleared facilities across the United States. The Industrial Security Achievement Award was established in 1966 in honor of the late Air Force Colonel James S. Cogswell, who was the first chief of industrial security within the U.S. Department of Defense. He was responsible for developing the principles of the Industrial Security Program, which includes an emphasis on the partnership between industry and government to protect classified information.
To qualify, CAE USA had consecutive superior industrial security review ratings and maintained a persistent degree of excellence and innovation in the management, implementation, and oversight of their security program.
“We are honored to be a part of a select group of organizations to be recognized by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency for maintaining the highest standards for security and protection of classified information,” said Ray Duquette, President and General Manager, CAE USA. “The diligence and commitment our team and organization put forth daily to protect our Nation’s classified information is admirable and ensures the continuous delivery of world-class training and operational support solutions to our U.S. Department of Defense customers.”
